How to Cut & Blend Your Clip-In Hair Extensions Using Luxy Hair Extensions

For those of us with fine, brittle, thin hair, clip-in hair extensions are a blessing. They are so easy to apply and instantly upgrade our outfits.

When Luxy reached out to me and accepted me into their influencer program, I was over the moon. I’d been recommending Luxy Hair Extensions to all my clients when I saw how amazing the hair quality was.

One of my most beautiful clients was a cancer survivor, and using Luxy had helped her re-grow her hair. She had 2 sets, and she would come in every 6 months to have them blended. I always used a feather razor to give a soft effect, and I was wowed by how natural they looked.

The most amazing part was that she felt she had her old hair back. What a gift it is to have a set of extensions that can help us look more like ourselves!

How to Cut & Blend Your Luxies

In this video tutorial, I show you how to cut and blend your clip-in hair extensions at home with just scissors and texture or thinning shears.

You can also use the Feather razor for an easy and seamless, soft effect.

You’ll also need a detangling brush and hair clips that have a good grip.

Labeling your extensions is so important. Before you start, map out which section is going to go on which side, because you don’t want the layers to be out of whack when you go to install them day to day.

I used good ol’ white out to do this.
